M-Audio Dual Driver Pro In-Ear Headphones Reviews 3

The M-Audio Dual-Driver Pro In-Ear Headphones form around your ear and have shape-able inserts for your ears. I am a student, musician, writer, and pretty good line dancer residing in beautiful Nashville, TN. I've been a drummer and guitar player on and off for the past 10 years of my life and have began engineering and producing in the past 4. I currently play drums for the band Brookline and you can see me rockin' an Orange County Drum and Percussion or Mapex kit decked out with Zildjian K Hybrids.

I bought these are Guitar Center in Pittsburgh in 2004 for right around $150. I was looking for a cheaper pair of in ears for an acoustic gig I was doing.

These headphones have a great seal and offered incredible on-stage rejection. They mold very easily to your ear and around the tops of your ears to create a comfortable and secure fit.

There is a general lack of low end - anything below 200 Hz is sacrificed.

The mold-able over-ear section is made of a stiff but flexible cable that has stayed that way for over 5 years. These still sound as good as they did when I bought them. Wax builds up easily because of the cone in the center so you have to be sure to keep them clean.

Bottom Line? These headphones are great for the casual listener or solo artist. When it comes to being in a band and wanting good-low end response - consider triple drivers...and if you're a drummer or bassist, be sure to check for bass response before you buy!
